All We Need Is Love

What do you get when you combine a night of free delicious vegan food, live music, book signing, goodie bags, art, all while sponsoring a wonderful cause? Just another night in NYC for this Bee Good gal!

With the lovely Victoria Moran!!!
Last Thursday, I had the great pleasure of attending the book launch of Victoria Moran’s latest book “The Love Powered Diet.” Addressing the room, Miss Moran stressed the importance of encouraging the weight-loss community to embrace the plant-based diet rather than programs that focus on foods based on animal protein. As a person who struggled with weight issues in her own past, Moran wrote the book after she “discovered the power of combining the principles of the Twelve Step Program with the gentle way of eating espoused by yogis and mystics, and now supported by cutting edge nutritional research.”
To prove the point that food can be delicious, nutritious, AND cruelty free, the event was catered by the always AMAZING Candle 79 restaurant and featured yummy desserts by Fran Costigan and “icecream” from Stogo.
What NYC event would be complete without being hosted in an incredible art space? The uber-famous, talented, animal-loving Peter Max donated his space for the evening! Bonus points for combing the book launch with a cause close to his wife Mary’s heart…..The New York Coalition for Healthy School Food: a statewide nonprofit that works to improve the health and well-being of New York’s students by advocating for healthy plant-based foods.
What a great night filled with fun, food, and new friends!!!
